Women’s History Month Luncheon

The 2025 SHE-EO Roundtable was a resounding success, bringing together over 70 women in business, leadership, and civic engagement for an afternoon of empowerment, strategy, and sisterhood. Hosted at the beautifully curated 1616 House, the event served as a signature celebration of Women’s History Month—offering a space where bold voices and bright visions converged around the central theme: “The Power of We.”
During the Mimosa Mixer, attendees were placed into small groups and asked to reflect on the event’s theme. Groups defined what it means to be a Bold Woman, create Bright Futures, and activate The Power of We. Their collective words were powerful—and now live on as our 2025 SHE-EO Reflection:
“A bold woman is unapologetic in her pursuit of success—owning her energy and ambition without hesitation or compromise. She dares to be different, chooses her words wisely, and navigates challenges with intelligence, resourcefulness, and unwavering confidence. She is fearless and undaunted, standing as a boss—ready to take risks, embrace her power, and redefine what’s possible on her own terms. A bright future is rooted in exposure, tenacity, and the willingness to take risks while building solid foundations for others to follow. It is shaped by women who lead with self-awareness, faith, and grit—who show up, create access, and offer direction. The power of we is found in choosing vulnerability, collaboration, and shared growth—and the courage to grow together—professionally, personally, and collectively.”

Melody Rodgers energized the room with her message on personal brand power, bold decision-making, and knowing your worth. She encouraged attendees to trust their voice and make the “bold ask”—reminding them that someone else’s breakthrough might be waiting on their courage.
Pam Mashburn shared the importance of data-driven storytelling and marketing strategy. Her remarks encouraged women to position themselves with clarity, embrace growth, and treat their businesses like brands worth investing in.
Penny Groux offered a corporate perspective, speaking on the value of inclusive leadership and intentional team-building. Her message emphasized the strength of collaboration and how women can rise by lifting others.
Meredith Lilly brought deep insight into political advocacy and professional leadership. Her reflections on resilience and policy-making highlighted the importance of women using their voices in boardrooms and legislative spaces alike.
Tamika Reed opened the SHE-EO experience by welcoming attendees and affirming the power women hold when united in purpose. She spoke on the importance of using available city resources, building community through opportunity, and embracing the moment to lead with impact. Her message set the tone for an afternoon rooted in vision, voice, and value.
As the event’s moderator, Dr. Thompson skillfully led the Power of We panel, elevating thoughtful dialogue around entrepreneurship, resilience, and legacy. Her guidance allowed each panelist to shine while ensuring the conversation remained grounded in strategy and shared experience.
Jennifer Anderson challenged the audience to “enter the room on purpose.” Her remarks on clarity, mindset, and level-setting reminded participants that intention shapes influence. She emphasized the importance of showing up authentically—and preparing mentally and emotionally for both success and service.
Throughout the afternoon, themes of self-awareness, faith, resilience, mentorship, and collective growth emerged as critical tools for sustainable leadership and business success. SHE-EO created space for both personal breakthroughs and professional strategy, reinforcing the belief that when women lead together—there is no limit to what can be built.
