May Small Business Mixer: Retail & Ecommerce Edition

Date: May 21, 2025

On May 21st the Montgomery Small Business One Stop Shop (SBOSS), the E-Commerce & Retail Insights Mixer served as a dynamic continuation of a previously acclaimed discussion on the intersection of digital and retail business models. Over 60 small business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and local partners gathered for an engaging evening of insights, growth strategies, and forward-thinking dialogue on how to thrive in the evolving marketplace.

Moderated by Kenneth Penn, the event featured returning guest Mykela Marshall, founder of Fashionably Greek and co-owner of Your HBCU. Williams gave an in-depth look into her entrepreneurial journey—from launching her brand out of a guest bedroom to expanding into a full-scale retail and warehouse operation. Her story was a powerful narrative of pivoting during military relocations, adapting during the pandemic, and leveraging social media and conventions to drive brand growth and national visibility.
