Power, Pride & Possibility: 2025 Small Business Mixer Brings Montgomery Together
On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Small Business Mixer energized Vanguard Social House with an evening that blended culture, connection, and opportunity.
Hosted by SBOSS Montgomery in partnership with community leaders, the mixer welcomed more than 100 small business owners, HBCU alumni and students, Divine Nine members, and local professionals — all under one roof to celebrate entrepreneurship and collaboration in Montgomery.
From the moment guests arrived, the room buzzed with energy. Music, conversation, and the sight of HBCU colors and Greek letters set the stage for an atmosphere full of pride and purpose. Attendees discovered local small business ventures, swapped ideas with fellow entrepreneurs, and expanded their professional networks in a setting designed to celebrate Montgomery’s culture of innovation.
The mixer also spotlighted the vital role small businesses play in Alabama’s economic future. By fostering spaces like this, SBOSS is helping to expand access, opportunity, and resources for Black-led ventures and minority-owned businesses across the region.
